On Sunday night, the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles hosted the 50th American Music Awards.
Wayne Brady presented the show, which was made by ABC and dick clark productions.
Music and performances from the past year were honoured during the star-studded ceremony.
Bad Bunny, a Puerto Rican musician, led all nominees with eight nods, including his first-ever for artist of the year. With “Un Verano Sin Ti,” he ended up winning two awards: one for favourite male Latin performer and another for favourite Latin album.
However, Taylor Swift stole the show, taking home awards in all six of the categories for which she was nominated. With 40 total AMAs victories, Swift is now the most successful female artist in the award’s history.
The world’s largest fan vote took place at the American Music Awards on Sunday, and pop superstar Taylor Swift took home the night’s top prize by being named artist of the year.

She remarked, “I cannot tell you how much my re-recorded records mean to me, but I never expected or imagined that they’d mean anything to you.” “I can’t tell you how much my re-recorded albums mean to me.”

Beyonce, Harry Styles, The Weeknd, Drake, Adele, and Bad Bunny were some of the other notable artists competing for the artist of the year award, but Taylor Swift emerged victorious.
The energetic song “Never Gonna Not Dance Again” was performed by Pink, who kicked off the awards event by dancing and singing to it while roller skating.
During his speech, comedian and presenter Wayne Brady performed some rapping. Brady joked, “Ain’t nobody getting slapped tonight,” in reference to Will Smith’s infamous assault on Chris Rock at the Oscars. “Ain’t nobody getting slapped tonight.”
Dove Cameron, a former actress on Disney Channel who broke onto the Billboard charts earlier this year with the release of her pop tune “Boyfriend,” was awarded the first prize of the evening for her performance as the best new artist.
